More great news to share with you: With the $600,000 April fund, KDP Select-enrolled authors earned $2.48 per borrow.

Established authors as well as debut writers continue to earn significant royalties from their participation in the lending library. Over half of the top 100 best-selling KDP authors have at least one book enrolled in KDP Select, and many new up-and-coming authors are enrolling books and experiencing success.

To date, borrows of KDP Select titles have surpassed 1 million and KDP authors participating in the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library have earned a total of $1.8 million from the KDP Select fund.

We’ve made a change to increase the 70% Royalty Option maximum list price requirement for GBP and EUR currencies. The maximum list price to qualify for 70% royalty is now £7.81 and €9.70 (previously £6.99 and €8.69.) For more information, please see the KDP List Price Requirements.

We’re pleased to announce that January was another strong month for KDP Select! More authors are enrolling books in the program and more Amazon customers are reading indie books.

Borrowing activity in the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library for KDP Select books increased from 295,000 times in December to 437,000 times in January. January was a particularly strong seasonal month with many new devices being turned on post-holiday and many Kindle Fire customers enjoying their free trial of Prime. With the $700,000 January fund authors enrolled in KDP Select have earned $1.60 per borrow.
